Hello All!
Please accept my sincerest sorry for missing in action for so very long.
Finals week, starting my first job, and summer break have all contributed to my absence.
I promise lot more photologs and reviews.
Hope the few people reading this welcome my return!
Thank you so much for sticking around!

Cheers!

mothers day gift guide

Mothers Day is around the bend!
Twice every year (her Birthday and the first Sunday of May),
I try in my own way to show mum how much she means to me
and how little I am without her.
This year, as I am home in a long time for Mothers Day,
I'm slightly giddy with excitement with the preparations I am trying to make.
I hope it all falls through.
And I've put together a suggest-list for those of us
bested by gift-ideas for the most important and most beautiful person in our lives.

1. Cashmere Scarf.
2. Diptyque Mimosa Candle.
3. Don't Sweat the Small Stuff for Moms Book.
4. L'Occitane Des Fleurs Bath Jelly and Solid Perfume Duo.
5. Zara Patent Leather Tote.
6. Del Gatto Loving Mother Pendant.
7. Spa Treatment Gift Certificate.

I'm definitely getting mum something from the above.
Also, a little at-home pampering, a personally crafted and penned card,
fresh flowers and her favourite sweets, Jalebis.
Damnit. If I could, I'd buy her the world.
That woman is the best friend anyone can have.
And god knows what I'd do without her.

What are you doing for your mum this weekend?
Have a bright springy week.

skincare routine

There is very little in my life that I don't experiment with.
Skincare is one of those things and my standard Subway sandwich is another.
I strongly believe that once your skin is comfortable and responsive with certain regimen of products,
you should stick to it.

I alternate between them.
They both do their job exceptionally well,
though I also use other methods for blackhead removal.

I use a Basicare Exfoliating Glove with the Face-wash or Scrub, to gently buff my face.
This has been god-sent for me. My skin hasn't ever been as smooth.

I then moisturize my face with Nivea Creme during the day.
It can be heavy, but I use it minimally and it makes for a good base for my makeup.
For post-cleansing at night, I swear by the Himalaya Revitalizing Night Cream.
I am guilty of straying from this particular cream,
but keep coming back to it, as it's just right for me.

I also keep the Lotus Herbals Alphamoist within reach
for hot summer days when I want something light.
My skin soaks this up in seconds.

I use a Basicare Facial Cleansing Brush on nights
that I feel like my skin needs a good scrub down and deep cleansing.
It does the job without being abrasive.

I avoid using a toner regularly as it aggravates my sensitive and dry skin.
But the Clean&Clear Fairness Toner helps on the nights
I feel like I haven't gotten all the makeup out.
It's fairly gentle and it doesn't dry my skin.

I've been making it a point to use the Freemans Avocado & Oatmeal Clay Mask
at least twice a week.
I've learnt that prevention is better than cure,
and this mask brings my skin back to life after all the hours in the sun and pollution.
And it has a divine smell.

That's about all that I subject my skin to on a daily basis.
As with everything in my life, with skincare as well I believe Less is More.
If your skin becomes dependent on any one type of product, it will stop producing it's own oils
and we all know self-reliance natural ways are the best in long-term usage.

What are your favourite products?
I would really appreciate any recommendations.
There is so much learn in this world.

Have an extraordinary week.

lip butter lemming & review

I struck gold recently when I scored 3 of the much-spoken about (understatement, much?)
Revlon Lip Butters in the shades Berry Smoothie, Candy Apple and Peach Parfait
And as much as I'd like to not conform to herd-lust for these lip butters,
I must cave in that these are few of those products that live up to their maHUsive brouhaha.

Texture-wise they're exactly what you'd expect from "butters".
Even if you've been living under a rock, you'd know what butter feels like.
The company claims that the hydrating mango, shea and coconut butter formula
boosts lip moisture by 156%.
The gel formula does prevent the lips from drying out,
but my lips did not feel smoother or softer.

Pigmentation is considerably solid and user-dependent.
You can swipe once for sheer, and swipe more than once,
building it up to your desired hue.
Sold in 20 shades cleverly named after sweet treats.

Fragrance-free, is something I dearly appreciate.
Having to deal with lotions, soaps, face-washes, Everything seeping with fragrance,
I am very happy to say that you won't find another layer of fragrance on your person.
I'm sure no one wants to smell like they slept in a fruit truck.
And even though we want more and more included in the price we pay,
Less is more.

For some of you out there, I can safely note Revlon Lip Butters
are close dupes of YSL Volupté Sheer Candy.
All in all, I am satisfied and I will try to get my hands on few more shades.
Have you managed to get your hands on these lip-butters?
Or are you waiting for them to be launched here before you give 'em a whirl?

Have a smashing weekend and happy Friday the 13th!
